The YMCA Sleep Easy is a national event that will take place over the weekend of 2nd to 4th March 2012. YMCA Derbyshire’s event will be from the Saturday to Sunday and will take place in the car park of Derby County FC's Pride Park Stadium in Derby. Join in, challenge yourself, have fun and help to change the lives of homeless young people.
What is the YMCA Sleep Easy?
The aim is simple: spend a night challenging yourself to sleep rough, raising money to help change lives of vulnerable young people. All the money you raise goes directly to YMCA Derbyshire's youth homelessness prevention work and resettlement to help prevent repeat homelessness - impacting your community and helping disadvantaged young people in your city build a future.
How do I register to take part?
You can register to take part in this event if you are over 18, or 16 to 17 if taking part with a responsible adult. It may be possible for children under 16 to take part with their parent or guardian, but please contact us to make a specific request.
You can enter either as an individual or as a team. All corporate teams will have their logo on our website and on 'thank you' posters at our centres.
There is a registration fee of £10 for those in full-time employment and £5 for all others. This fee covers your box, a warm breakfast and other expenses incurred during the night. It is payable during the online registration process or on the night for those not entering online.

What else do I need to know?
Hot drinks, a cardboard box and breakfast will be provided.
We will be presenting certificates to our Sleep Easy Champions – namely the largest three teams, the team which raises the most money and the most successful individual fundraiser.

How do I sponsor someone who is taking part?
You can sponsor an individual or a group taking part in YMCA Derbyshire's Sleep Easy
event by following the links on our fundraising page. Just click here.
Can I purchase an excuse for not taking part?
Yes! You can buy an excuse for a minimum donation of £10. There will be an
appropriate prize for the person who submits the best excuse – either the most
original or the funniest. Please submit your excuse by emailing us. You can then
pay online by clicking here or in person at our Campus for Learning and
Development in Derby.
Can I simply make a general Sleep Easy donation?
You don't need to register as a Sleep Easy participant or even sponsor somebody who
is taking part . You can make a general donation to YMCA Derbyshire's Sleep Easy
appeal by clicking here.
Can I purchase Sleep Easy merchandise?
Yes. We have a range of Sleep Easy merchandise for purchase. Beanie hats cost £4.00 each,
hoodies cost £15.50 each and travel mugs cost £3.50 each.
